Prince's Black Sweat

After his "comeback" of 2004 with a hit album and the highest grossing tour of the year, Prince disappeared in 2005 and for the first time since he 1978 (As far as I can tell), did NOT release an album. Well in 2006, he's got a new album on the way titled "3121". This album is rumored to be inspired by his legendary "3121" celeb studded parties thrown at his Beverly Hills mansion throughout 2005. Check Below for the latest Prince News:

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and musical superstar, Prince will be a special guest on SNL live on February 4th. Fresh off his double Grammy Award-winning release “Musicology” and his top-grossing tour, Prince is back with an eagerly anticipated album “3121”. Always on the cutting edge of music and the music business – from his rare triple-threat in “Purple Rain” which was the No. 1 movie, album and single simultaneously in 1984 (winning an Oscar® for Best Score as well) to some of his seminal albums, “Sign O’The Times,” “Around the World in a Day” and “Diamonds and Pearls” – he has sold over 60 million records and was at the forefront of web-based music distribution with his NPG Music club.

Catch me on "Veronica Mars" Wednesday, Jan 25th

Catch me on the UPN series Veronica Mars! I’ll be on Veronica Mars, 9/8 central this Wednesday, January 25th and Next Wednesday, February 1st. While in San Diego, I did some “extra” work for “Veronica Mars” in my free time.

The episode on January 25th is titled “Donut Run” and it’s about Sheriff Lamb looking for an abducted baby. The scene I’m in is when the sheriff first pulls up to the border checkpoint. I’m one of the border patrol officers in the scene. Right when Lamb pulls up through the border patrol checkpoint, I open the back door of a truck. Unless they cut me out, you should catch about 3 seconds of the back of my head! LOL!

The episode on February 1st is titled “Rashard and Wallace Go to White Castle” . I’m in the karaoke scene when Veronica shows up late to work. I’m wearing a tan colored sweater…I think…it was two months ago. :)

Anyway, I walk right past her on her left shoulder then I go sit down at a table behind her. She goes over to talk to Weevil and (name withheld to protect from spoilers) and if you look over her shoulder you may be able to see me and a few of my “friends” talk about how much the guy on stage singing sucks.

My 24 Thoughts 11:00am to 12:00pm

My thoughts as I watch.

1. LOL! Look at Curtis riding on the side of the truck! I don’t know. That’s just a funny sight.

2. “Don’t worry. I have someone on the inside.” Whaat? I’m shocked. There’s a mole inside CTU? How can this be?

3. Chloe is COOOLD. Love ‘em and leave ‘em. That’s her style.

4. Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! (c) Gomer Pyle The guy Chloe’s boning is the mole. Wow! Didn’t see that one coming either!

5. Wow. That whole exchange with Jack, Diana, and Audrey was awkward.

6. Okay, let’s cut through this melodramatic BS.

7. Come on! How can you NOT love Chloe? That girl is so socially inept it’s hilarious.

8. And she caught feelings over Spenser.

9. Spenser acting like he ain’t gonna talk. Trying to lawyer up. I guess it’s time to call in Richards.

10. Yeah…this guy doesn’t know who Jack Bauer is. If he did, he wouldn’t have tried some BS like that!

11. Ooooh...Jack know he didn’t have to push it in like that. Dude was clearly incapacitated.

12. “I’m not CTU. I’m Jack Bauer B - - - -!"

JBBCM (Tonight’s episode) = 1
JBBCM (Season to date) = 9

Grade
B
This episode started off slow but picked up speed with the suspense. The episode JBBCM stands at a “below average” score of “1” body dropped. Jack was at CTU the whole episode. There’s only so many people at CTU Jack could kill. With him getting outside next week, I expect the JBBCM to increase to normal levels.

Battlestar Galactica 2.13 EPIPHANIES

1. It’s nice to see Gaius back to his BS’ing. He’s so good at that!

2. Roslin is Gangsta now! She’s trying to kill any and everybody.

3. LOL! He doesn’t even know if he’s talking to Six or Gina.

4. Helo looks like he’s ‘bout to unload on Adama!

5. Cylon sympathizers? Interesting.

6. Sharon…Ooooh, that’s gotta hurt.

7. Dude…seeing bodies blown into space NEVER gets old!

8. Woah. Tricia Helfler is looking even better with the girl next door look.

9. And she’s a leader of the Cylon Sympathizer group.

10. Woah Part II. Roslin was doing the President?

11. President Roslin. Prognosis: Negative (c) Seinfeld

12. Ironic. The baby she was going to kill, ends up saving her life.

13. Woah Part III. I didn’t know a flashback could have an “Oh S---!” moment. Looks like Gaius is going to have some trouble with the President.

14. Baltar just found a cure for cancer! That *might* makeup for causing the destruction of the human race.

15. “And if you renege I’ll have the Admiral hunt your friends down and show no mercy.” GANGSTA!

16. Hey! How can the figment of a man’s imagination read a letter?

17. I never wanted to know what was in a briefcase so much since Pulp Fiction.

18. Okay, I’m confused. What is that? Nuclear device? Baltar’s Cylon Detection system. Does anyone know?

Grade
B+
A lot of intense scenes and I truly wasn’t sure what was going to happen next. It’s nice to see Baltar back in the foreground. He’s been in the background the past 3 or 4 episodes. Now we’re back to scheming, lying, duplicitous, crazy, Gaius. I like that Gaius! Next week? BILL DUKE! “Apollo. You know you done f-cked up right?”

I'm a Published Author!!!

I’m a published author! In Fall 2004, I wrote a paper about Movie Copyright Infringement on the Internet as my last official law school assignment. In Fall 2005, University of Virginia School of Law’s Sports and Entertainment Law Journal contacted me about publishing my paper. I suppose Apple’s introduction of the Video iPod and selling video content on the iTunes music store sparked the journal’s interest. The paper can be found on LEXIS or Westlaw using the citation below. Anyway, I’m officially a published author. That makes me feel good about 3 years in law school.

“Coming Soon to a P.C. Near You: The Past, Present, and Future of Movie Copyright Infringement on the Internet”, 5 Va. Sports & Ent. L.J. 97 (2005).

My 24 Thoughts 9:00am to 11:00am

1) Umm…how did the terrorist get the cop’s cell phone number? Or did I miss something?

2) “Understand this Bill. I don’t work for you.”

3) Ya know…I actually feel MYSELF getting dumber by watching President Logan. This guy is an idiot.

4) Curtis is on the scene. With Jack?!? Me thinks some terrorists’ heads will be snapped.

5) These terrorists mean business.

6) And so does Jack cause it looks like he’s going to blow these dudes up with their own vests.

7) “Why am I only hearing about this now?” I could swear that Logan said that exact same line last year. Maybe that can be his catchphrase. Jack has "We don't have enough time!" and Logan can have "Why am I only hearing about this now?"

8) Two hostages down. These guys are trying to beat Jack in the JBBCM. Terrorists:2 Jack: 1

9) Sam Gamgee comes in takin’ over Bill’s office.

10) Rudy saves the day! Rudy! Rudy! Rudy!

11) No! You don’t kill yourself! Only Jack Bauer can kill you! Unless you got a bomb strapped to your chest that is.

12) “Excuse me agent. I’m Jack Bauer” “I know who you are sir. Your name is in the dictionary next to ‘Gangsta’.” “Good can you please take Kim back to the command post? Thanks.”

JBBCM (Tonight’s episode) = 4 (I think)
JBBCM (Season to date) = 8

Grade
B
These two eps were okay. Too much waiting around. I guess that’s inevitable in a hostage episode. President Logan has “outdummy-ed” Bush and Mike Novak and Secret Service Agent Aaron Pierce must have the best job security. Those dudes are ALWAYS employed.

My 24 Thoughts 7:00am to 9:00am

1) Only in America can a Black man be elected President….then be assassinated AFTER his term is over!

2) Look at Chloe getting some.

3) Look at Michelle exploding.

4) Shoot. Half of the people they showed in the credits will not be seen again this season. They ain’t playing around this time. Kind of reminds me of when Jack cut that dude’s head off in episode 2 of season 2.

5) Jack Bauer doesn’t drive. Jack Bauer flies!

6) Mrs. Logan is crazy…and she had a thing with Palmer.

7) This kid looks like he’s going to be the new Kim. Please…don’t be.

8) Jack is steadily taking fools out one by one.

9) Was there every any doubt that Jack was going to finish that guy off. Come on. After he told him he was the one who killed Palmer, it was a wrap!

10) “Let’s get something straight kid. The only reason you’re still conscious is because I don’t want to carry you.”

11) I do believe that President Logan is stupider (yes, I said “stupider”) than he was last season.

12) Hey FBI agent guy! Don’t turn your back on Jack Bauer! Chloe: “Relax, he’s really good at this.”

13) I’m right…he is the Kim of Season 5.

14) “You’re going to tell me what I want to know, it’s just a question of how much you want it to hurt.”

15) Jack is gonna have to go all John Mclaine in Die Hard 2 this season.

16) Looks like Logan is running a tight ship over there. He must use the same background check as CTU.

JBBCM (Jack Bauer Body Count Meter) = 2.5 (Chloe helped him on that one dude at the refinery)

Grade
A
(Would’ve been an “A+” but Jack only killed 2.5 people. Higher body count = higher grade). They started this season off with a BANG! Palmer. Dead. Michelle. Dead. Tony. Almost Dead. The best action show on television is back. And guess what? I only have to wait 24 hours until the next installment. Thank you Fox for the FOUR HOUR premiere. They should just show two hours a week of this show like a movie.

Battlestar Galactica 2.12 RESURRECTION SHIP PART 2

1. Okay, they pulled one of those “Alias” storytelling tricks. They show the end, with you wondering how our hero go there, then put “48 hours earlier” on the screen. I hate those.

2. Chief looks shook, but Helo is taking it like a man.

3. Apollo looked hurt (like his dog died) when he heard Roslin sanctioned “the mission”. I though dude was about to cry right there.

4. “Good Hunting Captain” “You too Colonel”

5. Ya know, as I watch this, the more I think about it, the more I realize there’s NO WAY Starbuck can shoot Cain (in the head, cause Adama wants to be sure) and get off the Pegasus alive. There’s NO WAY. I’ll guess I’ll wait and see.

6. There’s my D! Missed you girl.

7. WTF just happened with Gaius? Did he rid himself of Six forever?

8. Oh, that shot of Cylon bodies being blown into space from the Resurrection ship was ILL!

9. Okay, this is intense! What’s the Pegasus XO gonna do?

10. Okay, Kara looks guilty as all get out. See…she gotta go in there cool, calm, and collected…..like BOOMER!

11. Looks like Boomer PREVENTED an assassination attempt this time.

12. Ha! They both blinked! Couldn’t quite pull the trigger.

13. Oh yeah, I haven’t mentioned it this year, but Gaius is crazy.

14. And Gaeta is a Cylon. He hasn’t done anything Cylonny this episode but I stand by my previous prediction.

15. What’s up with D and Apollo? I know they had that flirting earlier this season but this looks like more.

16. This Chief/Boomer/Helo love triangle could be a sitcom. “We’re in love with a robot”
17. Roslin looks like she’s going to keel over right now.

18. Umm….okay. They kissed. I guess it was a long time coming.

19. Okay so Adama’s admiral now. Can he trust the crew of the Pegasus?

20. Now that there’s another “hard copy” Six in the fleet. I wonder what kind of havoc she will cause.

Grade
A-
Although I hated that cheap storytelling trick of “48 hours”, I enjoyed this episode. (Who am I kidding, I’ve enjoyed ALL the episodes. But I digress). The battle scenes were very nice and well done. The shot of Apollo floating in space with the battle raging around him was nice as well. The whole lead up to the assassination/takeover was very nerve-racking. I truly didn’t know what to expect.

Battlestar Galactica 2.11 RESURRECTION SHIP PART 1

I’ve got short comments because I was distracted while trying to watch this episode.

1. Let’s do this. Season 2.2 It’s been waaay too long.

2. Woah. Roslin came out of nowhere with that. Even Adama was like, “What?”

3. Although she’s right….she sure does sound like a Cylon.

4. Wow, Tricia Helfer is showing her range. Now she’s vulnerable, “Please kill me” Cylon girl.

5. Am I the only one who thinks that the plan to attack the Resurrection Ship will not succeed completely? It seems too ambitious.

6. This is why I love this show. The final scene showing Adama and Cain giving the “mission” briefing was GREAT! The tension in that scene was so intense. It will definitely be on next week.

Grade
B+
It was a great episode, I just WISH there was some action and some “D”. The only things this episode was missing. For next week, I put my money on Adama.
